Here's the thing about coffee: Coffee brings people together.
Well, maybe not the coffee itself, but the conversations that happen over coffee certainly bond people. Coffee shops are the perfect place to share what's going on in one's life or to share what one is learning about Jesus. I have experienced numerous heart-to-heart conversations in coffee shops.
And that's why I started this blog.I want to share my life at college with my family and friends back home. We may not be able to meet up at a local coffee shop, but maybe this blog will be the next best thing.
Why Chosen Holy Loved?I'm so very glad you asked.
This past summer, I participated in a Bible study with my high school Spanish teacher (who is now my mentor) and two other girls from my class. We studied The Fitting Room by Kelly Minter. The book covered Colossians 3:12-15, which is commonly referenced as the "Put-On-Put-Off" passage. Minter emphasized that before we can be kind, compassionate, or any other virtuous quality, we must realize that God has already chosen us to be his, made us holy through Jesus' sacrifice, and loves us with an everlasting love. Only then can we live the life God calls us to live. Too often I have found myself forgetting those three truths, that I am chosen, holy, and loved. So, I titled my blog {chosen} {holy} and {loved} to remind myself and others who we are in Christ. |
So Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy your stay and come back very soon! |
